Germany 3000
All the way around Germany – 3,000 kilometers in the saddle, with start and finish in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg – the Race Across Germany 3000 is the ultimate challenge for those seeking cycling adventures in their most extreme form. From the banks of the Elbe, the course circles the entire nation, tracing its borders and showcasing landscapes as diverse as they come: the North Sea and Baltic coasts, low mountain ranges and Alpine foothills, the Black Forest, the Moselle valley, and the Rhine plain. Every stage demands sheer endurance, every region tells its own story. This event is more than a test of physical limits – it is an emotional journey around the outline of Germany, a symbol of unity, perseverance, and the will to make the impossible possible.
With the relaunch of the former Race Around Germany, the Race Across Germany 3000 is set to become a permanent fixture in the ultracycling calendar. Instead of individual time trials, all riders now start together on a fixed date – side by side, each with the goal of completing this monumental loop. The finish in Hamburg represents more than the end of a long journey: it stands for pride, relief, and the unforgettable feeling of having circled an entire nation by bike. Those who cross the line as finishers can be certain they have mastered one of the toughest and most significant challenges in European ultracycling – an experience to last a lifetime.
